Congressman Cohen Announces an NIH Grant of More than $2.5 Million to St. Jude

Follows Monday’s announcement of four NIH grants totaling $2.6 million to the Memphis-based children’s research hospital

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will receive a grant of $2,503,299 from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences for work on covalent inhibitors under the direction of Dr. Daniel J. Blair of the Chemical, Biology and Therapeutics Department.

Congressman Cohen on Monday announced four National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants totaling $2,613,871. See that announcement here.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“Just this week, our National Institutes of Health have announced investments of more than $5.1 million in work being performed at our premier children’s research hospital. These federal dollars keep St. Jude researchers in their labs working to cure illness and ease pain. I congratulate St. Jude’s leadership and the doctors involved in these critical areas of research on children’s health.”
