Cohen Announces $3.65 Million for Christ Community Health Services

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) announced a new $3,650,388 federal grant for Christ Community Health Services, Inc., awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This funding comes through the Health Resource and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Health Center Cluster grant program.

“Christ Community Health Services provides a vital service to the Memphis community,” said Congressman Cohen. “This funding will help Christ Community Health Services train more doctors and continue to provide the poor, the homeless, and the uninsured with the health care services they need.”

Christ Community Health Services has focused on fulfilling the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the poor, the uninsured and the homeless in Memphis since 1995. Through strategically placed health care centers and outreach programs, the group provides high-quality health care and other services to thousands of patients, caregivers, students and families each year.
