Christmas Day: Congressman Cohen to Deliver Meals with MIFA

Approximately 300 people are expected to volunteer on Christmas Day to deliver a hot, nutritious meal to homebound senior citizens. More than 1,000 seniors will receive a meal of turkey, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, pecan pie and juice. Each senior will also receive a gift bag filled with small household and personal items such as toiletries, postage stamps, note pads, gloves, clothing, blankets, flashlights and more. These holiday meals have been made possible by sponsorships from Congressman Steve Cohen, Baptist Operation Outreach, Bateman Senior Meals and the Memphis Restaurant Association.
