Thank you for your interest in attending the 59th Presidential Inaugural Ceremonies on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
My office has been in close contact with the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) in preparation for this historic event to try and accommodate your interest in attending the inauguration. On December 16th, the Committee announced all public inaugural events will be held virtually to ensure the inauguration will not exacerbate the already devastating effects of the ongoing public health crisis. Accordingly, my office will not be receiving an allotment of constituent tickets for the inaugural ceremonies or events. President-elect Biden, Vice-President-elect Harris, the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, and my office want to ensure public health and safety are at the forefront, and unfortunately this is the safest and most appropriate measure.
While I know this may be disappointing, I hope you will participate in the virtual ceremonies the JCCIC is planning and the pride we have in our President-Elect, Vice-President-Elect and nation. Additional details about the virtual programming will be released here.
