Congressman Cohen Announces $5.18 Million Grant for Memphis Int'l Airport

“As a member of the Aviation Subcommittee of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I understand the necessity of maintaining our critical airport infrastructure, and these funds will help ensure that Memphis International remains one of the best, most efficient airports in the country,” said Congressman Cohen. “Our transportation industry is vital to the local economy and Memphis International is one of the biggest reasons that we’ve been able to attract world-class businesses and investment to our community. I am grateful to the Department of Transportation for designating these funds for the 9th District, and with continued investment from the Federal Government, I’m confident that Memphis will remain the world’s distribution center for the foreseeable future.”
