The proposal if funded supports the creation of high paying jobs in the Memphis area, advances research with high potential for commercialization, and sustains the regional economy through cutting edge innovation development.

  • Intended Recipient: University of Memphis
  • Full Street Address of the Intended Recipient: 315 Administration Building, Memphis, TN 38152
  • Explanation of the request (must include purpose and why it is a valuable use of taxpayer funds): The funding would be used to develop multiple drone, multiple sensor intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities including polarization, hyperspectral, and vibrometry, the use of which can provide the Army with organic battlefield situational awareness. The proposal if funded supports the creation of high paying jobs in the Memphis area, advances research with high potential for commercialization, and sustains the regional economy through cutting edge innovation development.
