Rep. Cohen’s Work to Release the Epstein Files

Congressman Cohen has pushed for transparency and accountability in the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein and the powerful individuals connected to his crimes for years.

Across multiple administrations — Republican and Democratic — Congressman Cohen has called for the release of records, answers for victims, and full transparency for the American people.

Supporting the Release of the Epstein Files

Congressman Cohen was one of the first supporters of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, legislation that would require the Department of Justice to release the remaining Epstein records to the public.

He was also among the first members of Congress to sign the discharge petition to force a vote in the House to release the Epstein files after efforts to bring the legislation forward stalled.

Questioning Attorney General Bill Barr

During a congressional oversight hearing with President Trump’s former Attorney General Bill Barr, Congressman Cohen pressed for more information about the circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s death and the handling of evidence in the case.

He raised concerns about the role of the Bureau of Prisons and the unanswered questions surrounding the investigation, arguing that the public deserves full transparency about what happened.

Questioning FBI Director Christopher Wray

Congressman Cohen also questioned President Biden’s FBI Director Christopher Wray about evidence related to Epstein during a congressional hearing.

He asked whether the FBI uncovered evidence that could lead to criminal investigations of individuals connected to Epstein, whether investigators recovered material that could have been used to blackmail powerful figures, and whether the FBI would release records related to its investigation.

Continuing the Fight for Transparency

Even after millions of pages of Epstein-related documents have been released, many questions remain.

Congressman Cohen has continued speaking out publicly in televised interviews and raising these issues outside of Congress. He will continue pushing for the release of all remaining Epstein records so the public can finally see the full truth.

The victims deserve justice — and the American people deserve answers.
