Congressman Cohen Commends Memphis Public Library on National Award

Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) commended the Memphis Public Library and Information Center on the Floor of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, January 15th for receiving the National Award, the highest national honor bestowed upon a library by the Institute for Museum and Library Services. First Lady Laura Bush had presented the award to library representatives earlier that day at the White House.
