Congressman Cohen spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives in defense of freedom of speech, as outlined in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Congressman Cohen cited past incidences where speech was not condemned by Congress, including words by Rush Limbaugh, Don Imus and Jerry Falwell. Congressman Cohen also defended his vote against the motion to recommit the recent MoveOn.org ad in the New York Times.
