Cohen Commemorates the 15th Anniversary of the September
[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today released the following statement on the 15th anniversary of the deadly terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001:
“September 11th is a day for each of us to take time to reflect on the terrorist attacks that occurred 15 years ago today and remember the victims who tragically lost their lives, as well as those who survived but carry the horror of that day with them. We also honor the heroism of firefighters, policemen and first responders who risked their lives on September 11 and the subsequent days, weeks and months at Ground Zero and the Pentagon. Memphians in particular should remember Memphis native Gary Lasko and keep his family in their thoughts. Gary died in the collapse of the first World Trade Center building. As we continue the fight against terrorism and ISIS, we must remain ever vigilant so that a tragedy like September 11, 2001 is never repeated.”
