Environmental Group Lauds Voting Record

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) received a 100 percent score on the Defenders of Wildlife 2017 Conservation Report Card for his support of a variety of environmental conservation measures during the first session of the 115th Congress. He is one of only two members of the Tennessee delegation to receive a perfect score.

"It is an honor to receive this recognition from the Defenders of Wildlife for my support of conservation issues," said Congressman Cohen. "Conserving our nation's rich natural heritage and wildlife for future generations is an extremely important issue, and I look forward to continuing this great work for as long as I am in Congress."

The Conservation Report Card measures the commitment of U.S. Senators and Representatives to wildlife and habitat conservation during each Congressional session. It reviews both House and Senate votes on key conservation issues, providing a clear assessment of how well members of Congress are doing to protect wildlife and wild lands for future generations. The Report Card is an important resource constituents can use to examine their elected representatives' efforts to conserve our nation's natural heritage for our children and grandchildren.
