Cohen Receives Perfect Score on Defenders of Wildlife Conservation Report Card

May 12, 2016

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today received a perfect 100% score on the Defenders of Wildlife Conservation Report Card for the 1st Session of the 114th Congress. Congressman Cohen was the only member of the Tennessee Congressional delegation to receive a perfect score.

“It is an honor to be recognized by the Defenders of Wildlife for my work on conservation issues,” said Congressman Cohen, a longtime supporter of wildlife and conservation efforts on the state and national levels. “It is important that we protect wildlife and wild habitats for future generations to enjoy. As long as I am in Congress, I will continue to fight for these issues.”

The Conservation Report Card measures the commitment of U.S. Senators and Representatives to wildlife and habitat conservation during each Congressional session. It reviews both House and Senate votes on key conservation issues, providing a clear assessment of how well members of Congress are doing to protect wildlife and wild lands for future generations. The Report Card is an important resource constituents can use to examine their elected representatives’ efforts to conserve our nation’s natural heritage for our children and grandchildren.
