Cohen Receives Perfect Score on Human Rights Campaign Scorecard
[MEMPHIS, TN] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today received a perfect 100 score on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) scorecard for the 114th Congress.
“It is an honor to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for my work on behalf of the LGBTQ community,” said Congressman Cohen. “I have long advocated for civil rights for all Americans, regardless of their sexual orientation, and I remain committed to fighting for full equality.”
Established in 1980, the Human Rights Campaign represents a grassroots force of more than 750,000 members and supporters nationwide. As the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, HRC envisions an America where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.
