Congressman Cohen Announces $1.1 Million Grant to University of Memphis

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the University of Memphis will receive a grant of $1,171,855 from the U.S. Department of Education to determine alternate means of measuring student performance based on scenario-based assessments.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“This project will help instructors determine what their students are learning by assessing their 21^st century literacy skills. I am sure this effort will result in insights useful to both students and teachers.”
