Congressman Cohen Announces $1.2 Million Alzheimer Research Grant for UTHSC

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center will receive a $1,285,586 grant from the National Institute on Aging for research into Alzheimer Disease.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

"This substantial grant to our medical school will help in understanding this debilitating illness that affects too many senior citizens. I have long been a staunch supporter of research funding for the National Institutes of Health and I'm pleased this grant funding will advance the important work being done in Memphis."
