Congressman Cohen Announces $1.3 Million Grant for Terminal Improvements at Memphis International Airport

Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), the Ranking Member of the Aviation Subcommittee, today announced that Memphis International Airport will receive $1,337,110 from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program to make improvements to the Terminal Building.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“This investment in the Memphis International Airport will improve the experience of the flying public visiting or traveling to and from our city. This funding is from the omnibus spending bill that I was pleased to vote for in December.”
The $507 million in grants announced by the FAA today will fund a variety of projects at more than 260 airports, including construction and improvement of airport facilities, repairs to runways and taxiways, and purchasing equipment needed to operate and maintain airports.
