Congressman Cohen Announces $2.3 Million for Shelby County Head Start Programs

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the Shelby County Board of Education will receive $2,386,144 to operate its Head Start Programs. The funding is from the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Head Start.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“Head Start provides the educational and behavioral training young children need to succeed later in life. I am pleased to see this substantial investment in our community’s children.”
