Congressman Cohen Announces $750,000 National Science Foundation Grant to the University of Memphis

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the University of Memphis will receive a grant of $750,000 from the National Science Foundation for Phase One of its Center for Electrified and Automated Trucking (CEAT) under the direction of Civil Engineering Professor Sabya Mishra.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“I congratulate the University and Professor Mishra for being awarded this prestigious National Science Foundation support. Electrified vehicles are the future and it’s very encouraging that the University of Memphis will be contributing to the science that will be driving the trucking industry forward.”
