Congressman Cohen Announces Collegiate Sports Caucus Briefing

Hosts discussion on name, image and likeness compensation and other student-athlete issues

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), founder of the Congressional Collegiate Sports Caucus, will co-host a caucus briefing to discuss protections for athletes and address concerns about the integrity and fairness of college athletics policies on Wednesday, March 11. Congressman Cohen originally founded the Collegiate Sports Caucus in 2011.

Joined by co-chairs Rodney Davis (IL-13), Al Lawson (FL-05), and Mark Walker (NC-06), Congressman Cohen will moderate a panel discussion with Los Angeles Sparks point guard Kristi Toliver, former National Football League player and author Dr. Robert Turner II, former University of Virginia All-American track and field athlete Dr. Tomika Ferguson and former United Football League player Maurice Clarett.
