Congressman Cohen Announces FEMA Grant to Shelby County

$186,000 in Assistance to Firefighters
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Shelby County will receive a $185,967 Assistance to Firefighters grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to enhance its response capabilities and to more effectively protect the health and safety of the public and emergency response personnel from fire and other related hazards.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“FEMA’s latest investment in the safety and welfare of our community is both welcome and timely. I am sure it will be put to good use and will help protect lives and property.”
