Congressman Cohen Announces Grant to the University of Memphis for Purchase of a Micro-Computer Tomography Scanner

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that the University of Memphis will receive a grant of $450,000 from the National Science Foundation for the purchase of a state-of-the-art micro-computer tomography scanner. The acquisition will benefit faculty in seven science and engineering disciplines, and enhance collaboration with other institutions of higher education at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“This National Science Foundation grant will improve science and engineering programs at the University of Memphis by making the most modern scanning device available to students and faculty. I commend the University for winning this prestigious grant award.”
