Congressman Cohen Announces Grant to UTHSC for Stroke Vulnerability Research

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a $357,200 grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke for research into the genetics of stroke vulnerability.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

"I'm pleased our medical school can continue its lifesaving work on the genetics of vulnerability to stroke in the midst of this pandemic. I'm sure that the grant underwriting this research will result in important breakthroughs while keeping dedicated scientists working in their labs."
