Congressman Cohen Announces Medical Research Grants
National Institutes of Health funding for UTHSC and St. Jude
MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced two significant medical research grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive $459,656 from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases for immunotherapy research. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will receive $406,501 from the National Cancer Institute for research on medulloblastomas.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
