Congressman Cohen Announces Millington-Memphis Airport to Receive $10 Million in FAA Funding
Supplemental funding will rehabilitate runways
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation will provide the Millington-Memphis Airport $10 million in supplemental funding to rehabilitate runways.
This funding is part of $779 million in supplemental funding for 127 small and rural airports announced by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
"The Millington-Memphis Airport is an important regional airport and this significant supplemental funding will go a long way in making it safer, more competitive and more capable of providing emergency response while also creating good construction jobs. This is a big win for Millington."
