Congressman Cohen Announces Research Grant for St. Jude
MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will receive an “Outstanding Investigator Award” grant of $353,256 for research on molecular mechanisms of nucleic acid machines from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“I’m pleased that St. Jude researchers can continue their important work saving lives and finding cures in the midst of this pandemic. They do outstanding work and are worthy recipients of this funding that will support researchers, laboratory workers and medical doctors at our premiere children’s research center.”
Congressman Cohen on Monday announced St. Jude would receive a $4,395,266 grant from the National Cancer Institute to conduct research on pediatric brain tumors.
