Congressman Cohen Announces Research Grant to St. Jude

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will receive a grant of $819,860 from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for developing and validating race-specific cardiomyopathy risk prediction models in African American survivors of childhood cancer.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“Risk-prediction models will help research scientists to more fully understand the course and cure of childhood cancers. St. Jude is and will remain at the forefront of treating these cancers and extending and saving lives.”
