Congressman Cohen Announces Three National Science Foundation Grants to the University of Memphis

$475,000 for earthquake research, $50,000 for tissue regeneration research
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today announced that two University of Memphis professors will receive $525,000 in grants from the National Science Foundation. Thomas Goebel, an assistant professor at the University’s Center for Earthquake Research and Information, will receive grants of $425,000 and $50,000 for seismic research projects. Jessica Jennings, an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, will receive $50,000 to study improved tissue regeneration.
