Congressman Cohen Announces UTHSC Research Grant
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) announced Wednesday that the National Institutes of Health’s National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) has presented a grant for $717,765 to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). This money will be used to advance research on angiotensins and prostaglandins-adrenergic interactions.
“I am pleased to see that our researchers at UTHSC are continuing to receive funding to advance the important work they are doing. I have been a long-time supporter of medical research funding, and throughout my time in Congress, I have worked to secure grants for projects such as these.” The Congressman stated. “These funds enable our nation’s up and coming brightest minds to further expand our knowledge in the medical profession.”
