Congressman Cohen Announces Vision Research Grant to UTHSC

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a grant of $253,379 from the National Eye Institute for research into glaucoma monitoring using an artificial intelligence dashboard.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
"I'm pleased to announce this important research funding for ongoing vision research at our medical school during the ongoing pandemic. Glaucoma disproportionately affects Black Americans, and this grant will ensure our doctors and researchers provide Memphians with the best care possible."
