WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee will question witnesses Wednesday at a hearing on "The Impeachment Inquiry into President Donald J. Trump: Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment." The hearing, which begins at 10 a.m. Eastern/9 a.m. Central time will be livestreamed from the House Judiciary Committee website here.
On Wednesday night, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence's "Trump-Ukraine Impeachment Inquiry Report" was formally approved and transmitted to the Judiciary Committee for its review.
Congressman Cohen, the Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, made the following statement:
"Wednesday's hearing will be historic and will shape our democracy for generations to come. The Intelligence Committee completed its report about the President's conduct and transmitted it to the Judiciary Committee. Now, we will begin our Constitutional duty to analyze those findings and determine if President Trump's actions warrant impeachment.
"These are grave issues and I hope all Americans will follow the findings of the House."
