Congressman Cohen Questions Expert Witnesses at Helsinki Commission Hearing on Russian Abduction of Ukrainian Children

Calls Russian child welfare official “Rasputin II”
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), the Ranking Member of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the Helsinki Commission, questioned expert witnesses at a hearing titled “Rescuing Ukrainian Children and Women from Russia’s Aggression.” Congressman Cohen focused his line of questioning on the Ukrainian children abducted to Russia and efforts by Papal Envoy Matteo Zuppi to have them reunited with their parents. He also underscored the importance of designating Russian actions in Ukraine as a genocide.
