Congressman Cohen Remembers Bill Richardson

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), the first-ever Special Representative on Political Prisoners for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly, noted the passing of former New Mexico governor and United Nations Ambassador Bill Richardson, and made the following statement:

“Bill Richardson’s skill at negotiating freed many hostages who were wrongfully detained overseas and he deserves our unending respect and gratitude. His was a life of service to his country and to his fellow men and he will be missed.”
