Congressman Cohen Remembers Senator Curtis S. Person Jr.

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) released the following statement after learning of the passing of his friend, former State Senator Curtis Person:

"Curtis Person was a fair and friendly colleague whom I served with for 24 years. He was well-liked by all, members and staff alike, for his smile and cheerful disposition. We worked together on many issues. He paid particular attention to the University of Memphis and to all Memphis institutions, and was a strong advocate for children and for pets. His was a life well-lived, and he will be missed."
