Congressman Cohen Says Trump-Vance Meeting with Zelensky is Embarrassing

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9), House Co-Chairman of the Helsinki Commission, watched the meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky and made the following statement:

“I am embarrassed at the conduct of President Trump, Vice President Vance and other cabinet members in their meeting with President Zelensky. It should never have been televised and the pipsqueak Vance, auditioning for 2028, should not have been included. This was a set up, probably devised by Putin, to embarrass the Ukrainian leader. Trump talked about holding all the cards but the only card in the room was a Joker, not a King. This is what happens when you elect an unqualified person as president. He can’t handle the job emotionally, intellectually, or morally. As this war continues, the blood will be on Trump’s and Vance’s hands.”
