Congressman Cohen Votes for Resolution Standing with Israel

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) tonight voted for a House resolution standing with Israel as it defends itself against a barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists, and made the following statement:

“After being handicapped by a lack of a Speaker for weeks, I was pleased to sponsor and vote for the McCaul-Meeks H. Res. 771. I commend Speaker Johnson for making it the first legislative act of his speakership. The bipartisan measure passed overwhelmingly.”

The vote was 412 to 10 with six voting “present.”
