Congressman Cohen’s Statement after Introducing Resolution to Preserve and Release Ethics Committee Report on Matt Gaetz

WASHINGTON – “The day after Donald Trump announced Matt Gaetz would be his pick for Attorney General, I went to the House floor to demand that the House Ethics Committee Report on Matt Gaetz be made public. 

I prepared a privileged resolution calling for the release of the Ethics Committee Report in the event that the Ethics Committee didn’t act.  Today, the Ethics Committee failed to act and I filed the Privileged Resolution.”  

Congressman Cohen has served on the House Judiciary Committee since 2007 and also served on the House Ethics Committee.
