Congressmen Cohen Says Biden Vaccination Program is also an Economic Plan

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) addressed the House of Representatives from the floor this afternoon, urging his colleagues to support President Biden's vaccination program because it also strengthens the economy.

In his remarks, Congressman Cohen said in part:

"The president has done an excellent job of trying to address our economic problems. One of the main reasons we have economic problems is because of the coronavirus. The president has an excellent vaccination program that Republicans are unfortunately fighting. As people have experienced the pandemic, they've been less willing to go out and engage in commerce, travel, and had to reduce some of their business activity. This has hurt the supply chain and hurt our economy. So, the president's vaccination plan is also an economic plan…We need to support these vaccination plans. We need to support the president."
