The Memphis Health Center has received a federal grant worth more than $3.7 million from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration.

The funding will be used to help fund the Memphis Health Center, which provides affordable health care services to Shelby County residents.

“The Memphis Health Center provides important health services and high-quality, affordable care to citizens throughout the Ninth District,” said Steve Cohen, Congressman for the ninth district. “I am pleased to announce this significant investment of funding which will help the Memphis Health Center reduce health inequalities and disparities in Shelby County.”

Founded more than 45 years ago, the Memphis Health Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 community health center. It provides health care services under a primary care delivery model emphasizing preventive care across the entire life cycle, from prenatal to geriatric patients.
