Cohen Answers Memphis Pastors' Questions About Affordable Care Act Marketplace
[WASHINGTON, DC] – In a live video teleconference this afternoon, Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) joined more than 40 Memphis-area pastors who had gathered in his Memphis office to discuss implementation of the President’s landmark Affordable Care Act and answer questions on enrollment in the new health insurance marketplace that opened to uninsured Ninth District residents on Tuesday. “Today’s meeting was very beneficial for our community,” said Congressman Cohen. “I’m glad that I was able to engage with our community leaders in this important conversation, and I look forward to continuing my work of helping citizens get the benefits of the Affordable Care Act.”
Congressman Cohen had been scheduled to meet with the group of pastors in person, but the shutdown of the federal government required him to remain in Washington.
