Cohen Commemorates Memphis in May Celebrations on House Floor

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Today, Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) recognized the “Memphis in May” celebration on the floor of the House of Representatives.

“The Memphis in May International Festival is a special time in Memphis drawing people from around the world,” said Congressman Cohen. “Each year Memphis salutes a different country and this year’s honoree is the Republic of Panama. From the music festival to the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest and to the crown jewel of Memphis in May – the Sunset Symphony – Memphis in May has something for everyone and everyone has a great time in the Bluff City. I congratulate the organizers of Memphis in May and all the volunteers for their tireless work to make this year’s festival a success.”
