Cohen Commemorates Veterans Day
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) today issued the following statement commemorating Veterans Day, which is celebrated tomorrow, November 11:
“Every November 11th we come together to remember those who serve and have served our country. These brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and reservists are the reason why we enjoy the many freedoms we have.
Please join me in honoring the memory of the Americans who have served in World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, Iraq and Afghanistan. We must remember our soldiers after they have completed their service and must honor the commitments made to them when they enlisted.
Veterans cannot be thanked enough in words for their service and that is why I will continue to work to ensure veterans and their families are compensated more fairly for their service.”
