Cohen Hosts Telephone Town Hall to Discuss Constituent Concerns
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN-9) tonight hosted a Telephone Town Hall to discuss jobs and economic growth, voter identification laws, and other constituent concerns.
“Town halls give us the opportunity to discuss the issues and concerns that matter most to Memphis families,” said Congressman Cohen. “Whether it’s the economy and creating jobs, voter identification laws, or U.S. Postal Service issues, people have opinions and ideas that help us move forward with legislation in Congress.”
The Telephone Town Hall meeting began at 6:30 p.m. CST and lasted approximately one hour. More than 4,700 District 9 constituents participated in the call and asked questions about a wide variety of issues. Since being elected to the House of Representatives in 2006, Congressman Cohen has hosted dozens of town hall meetings in his Congressional district and via telephone from Washington, D.C.
