Cohen Hosts Telephone Town Hall for Seniors on Medicare and Social Security
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN-9) today hosted a telephone Town Hall on Medicare and Social Security for approximately 90 minutes between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. CT with Max Richtman -- President and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare. More than 7,250 constituents from the 9th Congressional District participated in the call.
“Hearing what my constituents have to say about the issues is very important to me and helps me better represent them in Congress,” said Congressman Cohen. “Today’s telephone Town Hall on Medicare and Social Security was a success. And Max Richtman was able to help numerous District 9 residents with his expertise and knowledge. It was a pleasure to work with Max so that we could help seniors with their Medicare and Social Security concerns.”
As with traditional Town Halls and District Office Issues Meetings, the telephone Town Hall offered an opportunity for direct dialogue between the Congressman and 9th District constituents.
