Cohen Hosts Telephone Town Hall on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN-9) today hosted a Telephone Town Hall on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
“Town halls give us the opportunity to discuss the issues and concerns that matter most to Memphis families,” said Congressman Cohen. “Today we discussed how best to strengthen and preserve Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Whether it’s Social Security, the economy or creating jobs, 9th District constituents have opinions and ideas that help us move forward with legislation in Congress.”
The Telephone Town Hall meeting began at 10 a.m. CST and lasted one hour. More than 1,700 District 9 constituents participated in the call and asked questions about a wide variety of issues. Since being elected to the House of Representatives in 2006, Congressman Cohen has hosted dozens of town hall meetings in his Congressional district and via telephone from Washington, D.C.
