Cohen: Le Bonheur Community Health & Well-Being to Receive $902K

MEMPHIS, TN – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced Le Bonheur Community Health and Well-Being will receive $902,653 in new federal funds for the Changing High-risk Asthma in Memphis Through Partnership (CHAMP) program from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Acquisitions and Grants Management.

“Le Bonheur Community Health and Well-Being provides Memphis and Shelby County with top quality health care,” said Congressman Cohen. “These new federal funds will help pediatric asthma patients in the region get the care they need to help ensure they don’t suffer from the effects of asthma this summer and beyond.”

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is a leader in pediatric clinical care and research and is a premier teaching hospital for future pediatricians, pediatric surgical specialists and clinicians. Le Bonheur’s partnerships with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have helped build a strong reputation for both teaching and discovery in Memphis and Shelby County.
