February 14, 2012

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN-9) recently received an A- on the Citizens for Global Solutions 2012 Congressional Report Card(link is external). The Memphis Congressman scored the highest grade in the Tennessee delegation, even receiving extra credit for spearheading letters on the controversial Keystone XL Pipeline.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Citizens for Global Solutions for my work on international issues, the global environment and global health,” said Congressman Cohen. “As a member of the Helsinki Commission, I take pride and joy in working on issues that affect not only Americans – but the world at large – so we can all enjoy a higher quality of life.”

Citizens for Global Solutions(link is external) envisions a future in which nations work together to abolish war, protect our rights and freedoms, and solve the problems facing humanity that no nation can solve alone. This vision requires effective democratic global institutions that will apply the rule of law while respecting the diversity and autonomy of national and local communities.
