Cohen Recognizes Jewish American Heritage Month

May 19, 2010

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN-9) today released the following statement in recognition of Jewish American Heritage Month, which is celebrated throughout the month of May:

“This month we celebrate and pay tribute to the many contributions made by Jewish Americans. Well before our country was first founded in 1776, Jews worked tirelessly to promote the social and cultural values all Americans share through their work in public service, medicine, academia, law, literature, athletics, and many other professions.

The Jewish American story is one of faith, dedication, hard work, and love of country. Jews have given so much of themselves for the development and prosperity of our great country. The Jewish people have made significant contributions to the strength and success of America.”
