Cohen Statement on Kellogg Ruling
July 31, 2014
[WASHINGTON, DC] – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) released the following statement in response to a court order requiring Kellogg to end its lockout of more than 200 Memphis-area employees and allow them back to work:
“After more than nine months of being locked-out simply for attempting to negotiate a new contract, this ruling will help put hundreds of Memphians back to work,” said Congressman Cohen. “Throughout this unnecessary and unfair lockout, I have supported the union workers and sympathized with their plight. I commend Judge Mays for this decision; it is a victory for our city’s hardworking middle class families.”
