Cohen: Telephone Town Hall Informative, Helpful in Representing 9th District
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN-9) today hosted a telephone Town Hall on Jobs, improving the economy, Medicare, Social Security and other important issues for approximately 45 minutes between 6:10 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. CT. More than 6,000 constituents from the 9th Congressional District participated in the call.
“Hearing what my constituents have to say about the issues is very important to me,” said Congressman Cohen. “The telephone Town Hall was geared toward jobs and economic growth but I discussed a number of concerns with 9th District residents today, including my upcoming Medicare Open Enrollment Fair, Medicaid and Social Security, among other topics. Hearing what Memphians think about the issues helps me better represent them in Congress.”
As with traditional Town Halls and District Office Issues Meetings, the telephone Town Hall offered an opportunity for direct dialogue between the Congressman and 9th District constituents.
