Congressman Cohen also announced that the COPS Office intends to make grant announcements in the coming weeks.
“Working together, citizens and law enforcement can make a real difference in fighting crime that will help to make our neighborhoods, schools and communities safer and more livable,” Congressman Cohen said. “The information available from the U.S. Department of Justice will help to make community policing efforts more effective. As a member of the House Judiciary Committee, I am fighting to make sure that the COPS program will have the funding it needs to help communities throughout the Ninth District put more cops on the beat, improve their community policing programs, fight violent crimes and domestic abuse, and keep our kids safe on the streets and in our schools.”
